Review: Markus Schulz & Nifra “The Creation (Prague) [Transmission Theme 2015]”

In a few days will take place one of the biggest indoor trance event in Europe, The amazing Transmission in Prague. Markus, who is always saying this event is part of the most important one to him, is considered as the Transmission resident DJ. So it is really not a surprise he will be Saturday for the 11th time on the magical O2 Arena stage.

To me, Transmission is really the event “not to be missed” too.   Everything contributes to make this party a perfect one: the city, the iconic venue, the show with all these lasers & lights, the line-up and, of course, the epic Czech crowd! it’s also probably the event with the most of my friends and familiar faces around, coming from more than 60 countries.

As he promised months ago, Markus wrote, for the 7th time, an anthem track dedicated to this event, which will also be the November track of his upcoming City Series album.  But, the big surprise is that he didn’t do it alone.  Indeed, this track, named “The Creation”, is also his first collaboration with the Slovakian Trance queen and Coldharbour artist, Nifra.

The result is a 7:27 minutes long incredible but unusual track, very different from previous Transmission Anthems. I have to admit I was a bit worry when Markus posted a few seconds extracts of the track on Snapchat, but it didn’t last long! What a good surprise, last October, in Amsterdam, when I heard Markus playing it for the first time! After the breakdown, a strong and powerful lead sound is used to build a long and progressive journey till the climax, that I’m sure will make people becoming crazy with all the Transmission Lasers in action! For sure, this moment will be one of the highlights of this new unforgettable night in the Czech Republic capital.

It was another big year of Global DJ Broadcast World Tour broadcasts as Markus Schulz played parts of or the entire set from seven different countries. Out of the twelve broadcasts there were two from Transmission in Prague and five of them from solo set nights (Los Angeles, Miami, London and Toronto). One broadcast from a boat, Groove Cruise. A trip to Johannesburg, South Africa. A Sunday night in Boston. A hot and sweaty event in Kuala Lumpur and an always wild night in Chicago.

Transmissions 10th Edition 30.11.2013

The contest is pretty simple. Each like, follow, tweet gives you one entry into the contest. You don’t have to select them all, it’s just one less entry. One winner will be chosen at random on October 27. If you are having trouble viewing the contest below, then you can also click here to enter!

Contest rules: One winner will receive free regular admission entry for themselves plus one guest into the event and are non-transferrable. Will not receive hard tickets, name will appear on the list at the door. Must be 18 and over with valid ID. Winner is responsible for transportation to and from the event as well as lodging and meals, it is not included as part of the prize.  Contest ends at 6 pm ET on October 27, 2013. Argentinean Tomas Heredia is a DJ and producer who has worked in the music industry from a young age and started to produce music from the tender age of 16 years. His talent is on the rise, his sound is spreading fast and he is certainly on his way to the very top. His tracks such as “Moonlight”, ‘When I am with You” , “The Witch” and “Alchemist” just to name a few are outstanding pieces of melodic trance tracks with energy, power and deep bass which are a must hear for trance lovers and make a 15,000 strong crowd explode. SNEIJDER: He’s been doing the real deal for just 5 years, and he already has the A-list of DJs on his side. Irishman Andrew Liggett known as Sneijder has been stirring things up with diversity. He’s exposed an endless number of masks to cover his many musical faces, but despite the colorful and daring differences, he is most known for his popular “138+ BPM” uplifting trance sound. Sneijder is a name you are going to be hearing a lot more in the not to distant future, and is a DJ who knows how to close an event with dirty driven uplifting trancy pounding sounds. THOMAS COASTLINE: The talented Czech trance DJ and producer Thomas Coastline will be the warm up DJ. Thomas Coastline started DJing and producing when he was 16 years old and had his breakthrough in 2008 with his track “After Hour” which was a track, Armin van Buuren selected to play is his weekly radio show A State of Trance. Since then many more tracks have followed with highlights such as his track “Love Victims” which was selected by Ministry of Sound to be included in the mix compilation Trance Awards and his track “Ultra light” to be selected by Blackhole recordings to include in the Search of Sunrise 9 compilation. Besides DJing and producing Thomas Coastline has his own radio show at afterhours.fm. TRANSMIX by THRILLSEEKERS: Always one of the highlights at Transmission is the Transmix, a pre-recorded mix with well known trance classics, filled with special effects and pyro, combined with a spectacular laser show. VISION IMPOSSIBLE: Another highlight at Transmission always is the VJing of the Dutch award winning VJ team Vision Impossible, who just like every other year create all the show/intro movies for the artists and are responsible for the live visuals during the event.
