The duo New World Punx (aka Markus Schulz and Ferry Corsten) released their latest track “Memories” today, March 9th, via ‘New World Punx Music’ through Black Hole Recordings. Featuring the emotionally charged voice of Cara Salimando, this is the New World Punx’s first official vocal track. Prior to the release, New World Punx has been busy road testing this single during their recent solo and joint sets worldwide. This track is will clearly dominate their sets over the coming months during the 2015 festival season including their recently confirmed appearance at Coachella 2015.

In advance of the festival they’ve teamed up with Coachella to offer their fans a sneak preview of their newest single “Memories” featuring Cara Salimando on vocals. Nick Wild (Jason Statham) is a Las Vegas bodyguard with lethal professional skills and a personal gambling problem. When a friend is beaten by a sadistic thug, Nick strikes back, only to find out the thug is the son of a powerful mob boss. Suddenly Nick is plunged into the criminal underworld, chased by enforcers and wanted by the mob. Having raised the stakes, Nick has one last play to change his fortunes…and this time, it’s all or nothing.
The track “Hydra” begins dramatically with a build up which sounds like crowd horns from the World Cup, the drums continuously are staccato in doubles and triplets with the keyboards building into a crescendo until it explodes into a silky smooth, velvety pulsing rhythm. The serene rhythm is interrupted with a boom and the song starts building with a psychedelic phasery rhythm sound and then transitions into the main hook of the song which is a beautiful hammer of triplets on the keyboards which makes you want to start dancing.
The hook fades away into a chill rhythm but not for long as the massive build up begins again which sounds like a jumbo jet screaming down a runway crossed with a wailing bomb siren and a thudding bass drum. The build creates more and more tension until a double bass drum fill smacks down and the main hook of the keyboards rises into the song, sounding like the namesake of the song itself–a mythological hydra, screaming and wailing away with sounds of beauty, making you want to jump up and dance as second rising keyboard builds the song to new levels of ecstasy.
KhoMha has taken his playing to yet another level with this track. This song is definitely worth repeated listening and shows he is becoming a true master.

“Winter Kills Me’ was the final closing track of several of Markus Schulz’s most memorable shows in 2014 including the last set of his 2014 summer residency at Amnesia in Ibiza, his last ever appearance at Toronto’s Guvernment in September 2014 and his set at Transmission in Prague in October 2014. These special moments will be remembered for life every time the track “Winter Kills Me” is heard. This is Markus’ second collaboration with Grammy award-winning songwriter and vocalist Lady V (aka Victoria Horn), who was also featured on the ‘Scream 2’ stalker anthem sequel “Erase You”.

When I first heard Delacey’s vocal, it was as if it was a one-to-one conversation with my soul; it resonated immediately. So the most important thing for me was to build the musical elements that would carry the emotion through to every single person who would hear it. I have been roadtesting it since my solo sets in New York and Miami during the Christmas period, and the amount of messages on social media asking me about the identity was overwhelming. A new year brings an early new addition to the Schulz Music Group (SMG) family, as we welcome the dynamic Fisherman & Hawkins.
Dutch natives Isaac Vissers & Rob Koopmans have contributed significantly to Markus Schulz’s Coldharbour Recordings imprint over the past three years; with their debut release “Apache” becoming one of the most successful and memorable releases in the label’s history. Their excellent body of work has continued throughout, including 2014’s smash “Underworld” and the imminent release of “Skypunch”, alongside their remix of Markus & Lady V’s acclaimed piece “Winter Kills Me”.
Following a starred appearance at the Netherlands’ freshman Coldharbour Night in Venlo, SMG is delighted to add Fisherman & Hawkins to an immensely talented roster, which in the past 12 months includes the addition of M.I.K.E. Push, Nifra, Omair Mirza and Purple Stories.
